ECNL 6-Month Teams
We believe that the ECNL’s holistic approach to developing the whole person is the right environment for all top female players, With that being said, the Michigan Hawks are excited to place a 6-month team into the ECNL in the ’01, ’02, ’03, ’04. and ’05 age groups this coming year. These teams will allow top players that want to continue to play high school an opportunity to play with top players in the state, play against the very best club in the Midwest and still play for their high school. (The club will continue to also have the 10-month option.)
We are committed to attracting, training and developing top players that want to play in the ECNL on these teams. We have added GPS and game film programming for these teams for the coming year, mirroring the resources given to the year-round teams. These 6-month teams will train based on our club’s periodization and with our successful club curriculum. The teams will also be training with and around the 10-month teams as needed, as we commit to helping develop all the players in all the age groups. All top players in our club that need more to continue to move forward, will be given opportunities to help them get there.
The ECNL demands the very best out of all youth players and we look forward to the challenge of helping all of our players find success in the league.
Thanks, and please call or email me if you have questions.
Why the ECNL?
The Girls ECNL is the nation’s top development and competition platform for female soccer players, with conference competition in six age groups (U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18/19) and unmatched collegiate exposure through the ECNL National Events, the largest collegiate showcases in the country. In addition to the competition platform, the Girls ECNL offers player identification and development opportunities for top players in every conference, unique coaching education and club development programs, and player health and education resources.
The Michigan Hawks will have both a 10-month team and a 6-month team in each age group in the ECNL. The 6-month team will be for those players that would like to play with and against the best, but still play for their high school team.
