To the Hawks Families:

As our lives have been interrupted, the things that used to mark our days – commuting to work, sending our kids to school, hanging out with friends – disappear and time takes on a very flat quality. Soon enough our lives will return to “normal” but before that day comes let us count our blessings and be grateful for the gift of unencumbered time with our families that this strange moment has granted us.

We recently announced that, per US Club, registration for those who want to play on an ECNL team is open and we strongly encourage everyone to sign up now. Also, coaching assignments for next season have been announced for all teams. If you happen to be aware of someone from outside the club that is interested in joining the Hawks, please put them in touch with the coaches in the appropriate age group.

Over the next few weeks, the club will be working with the coaches to navigate the tryout process. The first step in this process will be to have virtual meetings with the players and parents to discuss what we see as the ideal path for your daughter’s continued development. These meetings will be no more than 15 minutes with the expectation that players will have identified their questions in advance. Please be aware that coaches and managers will send out a sign-up sheet this week.

Once all of the conversations with our current players have taken place, we will then send out information as to how the June 1 signing date will be handled and what the process will be for payment, uniforms and any other related issues.

The ordinary miracle that is a mother’s love guides us in everything we do and throughout all our days. Mothers feed our imagination and soul with love and encourage us to be the best version of our self that we can be. When we are challenged, they provide us a soft place to fall. When we succeed, they step back so that we can step forward into the spotlight. In so doing they teach us that the greatest thing we can do in life is to love and be loved in return.

From all of us in the Hawks organization we say to all of our mothers and to all of those in the club – Thank you.

We love you and Happy Mother’s Day.
