To the Hawks Families:

To honor one’s heritage is to acknowledge all of the things that quite literally make us who we are today.  In addition to helping us understand our values and traditions, knowing our past provides us with a pathway to the future.

The Michigan Hawks have decided to pay tribute to the legends that have built our club by renaming each of our
teams in their honor. Magic. Dugan. Coyne. and establishing the Michigan Hawks Youth Academy in honor of Paul Scicluna. Each name serves as a bridge between the past and the future.

In addition to being great coaches, they all were tremendous mentors.

Starting this fall The Michigan Hawks will
be unveiling a mentorship program for our youngest players. One unique resource at our club is the number of former players who have played at, and excelled, at the highest level in our sport. Now, through this new program, our alumni will become part of your daughter’s development process.

We recognize that every player has their own individual path forward and that success takes place at all stages of development. That is why the Michigan Hawks offer different levels of competition across all ages.

As our alumni will tell you, not every player started off on the top team. Yet, through hard work, determination and access to quality coaches dedicated to their individual development, they became better players and well-rounded people
who remain passionate about our game.

Through our new mentorship program, by providing quality instruction at every level of age and competition and by remaining committed to our Hawks families during this difficult time, we honor the founders of our club and the traditions they established.

It is our sincere hope that you continue helping us carry on the legacy of the club and, in so doing, establish a guide for future generations to follow.

Stay safe and keep thinking about the day we get to step back out on the pitch!
